About
Mnemon is an interdisciplinary design studio founded in Atlanta by Ayham Aragi and Ghalia Wahoud.
After 10 years of experience in the architecture and design fields, our journey with mnemon began with a clear yet often overlooked fact: the spaces we inhabit and experience in a city profoundly influence our connection to its vitality.
Our foundation is built on the idea that transforming public spaces into areas that foster community interaction and vibrant activity not only breathes life into the urban fabric but also serves as a nexus for commercial engagement.
The In-Between:
Long before the invention of writing, myths say, a goddess named Mnemosyne, prevented the ancient tales and stories from fading by memorizing it and passing it on.
Later on, storytellers specialists found out a way to strengthen their memory and their skills in telling fantasies.
They advised to think of a space that you experienced in reality, store it in your memory, with its corners, walls, and elements. When you want to tell a story, attach every part of a story to an element in this experienced-memorized space. Walk through it, re-experience it, remember what is important in this space, and tell your story accordingly.
Maybe it's a fantasy, but if you believe that you experienced it, then itβs a story.
